Thriving After A Monsoon

I lived in Arizona for a few years and loved it.  There is something about the desert that makes you appreciate nature.  It’s amazing to me how so many plants and animals not only survive in the desert, but they actually thrive it the hot, dry climate.  They are able to find and sustain themselves on a few drops of water until the monsoons hit in August.  Then during the monsoons’ torrential rain fall it was almost as if the plants and animals braced themselves.  They weren’t necessarily bracing themselves for the rain, they were bracing themselves for the massive amount of growth that they were about to endure after the last rain drop fell.  It was because they thrived in the hot and dry climate that they were able to explode and blossom after the rain fell.

Life is like an awful lot like my experience out in Arizona.  It can seem like things are difficult and that you are just waiting for the clouds to part so you can see the light of day again.  Remember it’s because you were able to taking the mindset of thriving that you were able to not only get through your dry season, but you were able to enjoy the down fall of your monsoon and then jump out there an experience growth in your life.  Growth can come as an ah-ha moment or idea; it can be financial growth or personal growth. We have all experienced a moment of growth in our life.  Look back and you will realize you grew the most after you were stretched and strained to almost your limit, it wasn’t until your “monsoon” hit that you were able to thrive at a new level.

So embrace the rain because it’s time to thrive!
