Stop! Hammer-time!

No, we’re not going old school MC Hammer today. We are laying down the hammer on our negative habits and all of our terrible excuses we try to tell ourselves.

Stop being mediocre, stop settling for average! You were not put here on this Earth to be average. Each one of us is gifted with an ability or talent that we are supposed to share with the world. I’m not saying everyone needs to audition for a TV show to sing. What I am saying is that each of us has something that makes us unique and special.

When you lay down the hammer and stop with all of the excuses, all that you are left with is action. Your actions are no longer being limited by all the reasons why it won’t work or why you can’t do it at this time in your life. Laying down the hammer forces you into action, it forces you to move.

How can you lay down your hammer and stop making excuses?

First, admit to yourself that you have a problem. Your problem is procrastination.

Second, decide you will change your life and you will take actions daily towards perfecting your craft.

Finally, don’t stop. There is always room for improvement.

If you think these three steps sound too easy or too basic then you need to realize that they are easy and they are basic. Changing your life doesn’t have to be some big momentous event. It is about small steps taking daily. Over time these small steps will look like giant leaps in your results.

So until you can look back and see those baby steps adding up, lay down the hammer and get to work.
