I want to encourage all of you to get up and get moving. The more you spend being physically active the better you will begin to feel. I’m not saying you have to be out running or joining a gym to do fitness classes; instead I want to encourage everyone to be in nature and go for a walk, hike or a bike ride. Believe it or not we were not designed to be sedentary. We were made to move.
Movement is good for the body and for the mind. When you get up and move you increase your blood flow and you also increase your overall happiness. Being active is a great way to deal with stress as well as a great way to smile more. Exercise releases endorphins and these help to make you feel happier. Ask any doctor and 99% of them will tell you that you need to be active and move.
Not sure how to start, it’s easy, you just put one foot in front of the other and walk around your block. Then as you become more active, look for others to join you. There are always fitness classes or groups online. I’m sure every social media platform has an area you can search for fitness groups. So put down your excuses and pick up your walking shoes and go take a hike!
