Do you block your success? Do you rain on other people’s parades? Stop being a Debbie Downer and start lifting yourself and other people up. Re-exam your attitude and make sure you are setting yourself up to be successful.
How do you block your success? Negative self-talk is a killer. It will hands down, every time, cause you to miss the opportunities that are in front of you. Instead of focusing on the good, you are only looking for and focusing on the bad. A classic example of this is always expecting an unexpected bill. You are always going to the mailbox in fear that a bill you can’t afford will show up or that your electric bill will be more than what you budgeted for the month. Instead of being worried about the unexpected, focus on the things you can control. You are able to control your ideas. One new idea is all you need to help you generate the extra cash flow that you might need to never have to worry about an unexpected bill again. Don’t get discouraged if at first it feels like it’s not working. After all, Nike was first sold out of the trunk of a car, Microsoft was started in a garage and even Oprah Winfrey was fired as a news anchor before she became a mega talk show host.
Keep working on your attitude and recognize when you are blocking your success. Acknowledge it and move forward. Try to give yourself and others a pep up talk every day. Be the light in someone’s life and don’t be a wet blanket. The only voice that we can hear constantly is our own, so start with your inner voice. Strengthen your inner voice so that when you do speak and take action you are capable of finding encouragement and strength in yourself and you are also able to fill others up with confidence. Be a success builder!
